METRIC CONVERSIONS

Today we started Reflex Math! Students will be able to practice in class but students are encouraged to practice at home. (January 17)

 

DATA MANAGEMENT

Today (Oct. 11) we started our data management unit.  Students created their own survey question, conducted their survey, and plotted their data onto a graph. Next, we will be analyzing our data and finding the measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode).

We are almost done our first Number Sense Unit!  We will have a quiz tomorrow on ordering decimal numbers to the hundredths column, and changing fractions & mixed numbers into decimals.

Our next unit will be Data Management (Data Collection, graphing, interpreting, measures of central tendency – mean, median, mode, range)

This September, in math, we have learned about GCFs (greatest common factors), LCMs (least common multiples), order of operations (using the acronym B.E.D.M.A.S), square roots, square numbers, and properly using exponents.
